Sailing holidays on an individual basis

Sailing trips Sweden

Sailing trips to/from Stockholm

These sailing trips with the Avatar take you from Kiel to Stockholm or from Stockholm to Rostock along the islands of Møn or Rügen to Bornholm and South Sweden. If the weather conditions permit it, you also visit the island of Öland.

Bornholm is very popular because it has something very special. Nature, with its diversity and its rarities, is an attraction in itself. The most visited attraction of Bornholm - Hammershus, a large castle ruin - lies like an eagle nest on a 74 meter high cliff.

Sunny Öland is a favourite holiday destination and offers long, white sandy beaches and bundles of activities. Must sees on Öland include Borgholms Castle, a beautiful castle ruin.

Sweden’s capital city Stockholm spreads out over 14 islands in Lake Mälaren and looks out proudly to the Baltic Sea to the east. Her grand public buildings, palaces and museums tell her old and rich history beautifully. This is where your sailing trip with the Avatar ends.

Sailing trips to/from Gothenburg

These are ideal trips to explore the Baltic Sea! Within each trip we visit three countries: Germany, Denmark and Sweden. We start in Rostock, sailing north across the Danish South Sea with its beautiful islands and along the Swedish coast to Gothenburg.

While roaming, we let the wind determine the route. There is the possibility to sail via the island of Møn (known for the chalk cliffs), Copenhagen and Helsingør. Another route will take you via the Great Belt between the Danish islands through and along the Danish mainland. Rolling shores, with forests or beautiful beaches, little harbours and steep rocks will alternate. There is plenty of opportunity for exploring the villages and towns, making walks through the beautiful scenery and taking a refreshing dip in the sea.

In the direction of Gothenburg we sail a stretch along the skerry coast. This coast is mainly characterized by numerous small, rocky islands in shallow waters off the coast. A beautiful and sheltered sailing area.
This trip also provides plenty of activities on board. Even without sailing experience you will be able to help hoisting the sails and the sailing manoeuvres. And maybe we'll find you behind the steering wheel or in the mast! Of course, relaxing, sunbathing or reading a book is also possible.

This trip is also organised in reverse direction from Gothenburg to Kiel.
