Sailing weekends Baltic Sea
The city of Kiel on the German coast of the Baltic is the perfect starting point for a lovely weekend of sailing on the Baltic. From here the Danish isles, also known as the Pearls of the Baltic, can be reached easily.
On Friday evening you are welcomed aboard the Avatar. As soon as everybody is settled, an enjoyable meal is served. After that there is time to get to know one another.
After breakfast the next morning, possible sailing destinations are discussed. Depending on the wind, that can be for example Marstal on the Danish Island of Aerø, Bagenkop on the Isle of Langeland, the Danish town of Sønderborg or the towns of Kappeln or Eckernförde along the German Baltic coast. The route will be chosen carefully, so that there is a maximum of sailing time on Saturday as well as Sunday. Since sea air raises a healthy appetite our cook will prepare a delicious lunch and dinner. During the evening or on the following morning there is ample time to explore the town at which we harbour.
On Sunday we sail back to Kiel. This again will be an active day, but obviously it is also possible to relax, or read a book on deck. At the end of the afternoon, sadly the trip comes to an end!
